The Buddha painting is in progress. It sits on the easel facing the keyboard and piano bench in my cramped working studio/living room. This is the room in my bungalow that I spend my life in. The “office” is in one corner. It contains the now traditional “Devises” for zoom meetings and such. A kitchen island masquerades as an all-purpose painting table. It divides the space, in thirds, the space between the office and the music/painting area. The workhorse keyboard flanks a wall. A Kennedy Rocker another wall and a file cabinet and books secures the adjacent wall. In the center is the beloved H frame easel facing the keyboard. My back is to the painting as I practice the piano coaching from my master musician colleagues.
In the only window in the “office” hangs a faceted crystal. The window is on the east wall and I can see the trees swaying and whispering in the wind as I work at my desk. In the morning -around 9 am – the sun kisses my Christal. The crystal forwards the kiss, sending a rainbow of light throughout the room. The rainbow should touch the back of the painting since the painting is facing the west wall. The rainbow of color lays on the Buddha’s head, the back of his head. For about 15 minutes every morning, I am privileged to see a miracle.
