Dorothy Annette spends her life in service of Beauty. She expresses all things beautiful through her visual art, her music and her words. Her paintings spotlight the nuances of her subjects that the viewer may have missed. She believes that the beauty in our lives convey harmonious moments of peace.

 

Annette expresses her love of music by hopping on Jazz Jam session stages where she can find them. The blog on this site intends to share her thoughts on beautiful happenings and miracles.

 

She studied in Artists Residencies in Tuscany, Italy, and Cape Town, South Africa. Annette has been exhibiting for 30 years and has earned many awards for her work. Awards include: Local Hero in the Arts, KPBS TV/Union Bank of California; Artist of the Year, SONY Artwalk. Also included: Honorable Mention, and a Townsend Scholarship, Athenaeum Music and Arts Library. Women Together Association, Art award; and many Juror's Choice Awards, SD Art's Institute.
